Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints for the purpose of optimizing health. Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained, and improved by the use of massage therapy. Also, physical dysfunction/pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented.

Blair Hennessey has a diverse background as an athlete and now as a physical therapist. He grew up playing competitive hockey and soccer before joining the Canadian Forces as an Infantryman, serving 9.5 years. However, he always had a passion for Physical Therapy and knew that’s where he would end up. Blair is a graduate of the Western University Master of Physical Therapy program and utilizes a combination of exercise-based therapy alongside Functional Dry-Needling with IMS, joint mobilization, and soft-tissue release to achieve patient-centred goals and restore function.

Blair is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, which he leans on in developing patient-centred treatment plans involving exercises for people of all ages and backgrounds catered to the person’s current training plan. Blair also holds his Sports First Responder and has provided on and off-field Physical Therapy care to several varsity sports teams, including Football, Men’s Hockey, Men’s Basketball, Track and Field / Cross-Country, Swimming, and recently, Professional Soccer. Blair has experience with common musculoskeletal injuries, pain, dysfunction and post-operative Shoulders, Hips, Knees, and Ankles as a part of his clinical experience.

When not in the clinic, Blair swims, bikes, and runs to train for Ironman Triathlons, volunteers with Concussion Legacy Foundation, loves walking his dog, and is working toward acquiring his Diploma in Sports Physical Therapy.

Cody is a graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy program at triOS college (formerly the D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy) in London, ON. Prior to beginning his journey as a Registered Massage Therapist, Cody was a fitness coach for over eight years at a number of high-performance gyms in Windsor and London, working to help his client base achieve their peak health and performance. Cody has his canfitpro personal training certification, his CrossFit L1 certification and has provided nutritional and fitness coaching for many clients over his 8-year personal training career.

Outside of his professional history, Cody has always been involved in a variety of athletics and understands the importance of rehab and prehab when reaching one’s potential. Combining his passion for sports and helping others achieve optimal health, Cody is most looking forward to working with the other talented professionals on the MHP team to provide clients with the best possible care.

In his free time, you’ll find Cody on the disc golf course or hiking with his wife and 130 lb bernese mountain dog!

Elizabeth is a registered massage therapist in good standing with the CMTO, and has been practicing since 2021. Elizabeth has had the opportunity to work with a great variety of patient populations and has found that she especially enjoys working with veterans and athletes. Elizabeth has experience working with varsity and semi-pro athletes, including those playing hockey, football, and rugby. Elizabeth has also worked with long distance runners.

Elizabeth has additional training in cupping therapy, and combined decongestive therapy. Growing up playing sports and through living an active lifestyle, Elizabeth understands how important it is to support people in maintaining their well being and recovering from injuries. Elizabeth is very familiar with neck, shoulder, and hip pathologies, as well as muscular complaints. She strives to take an active approach to each individual’s massage therapy needs. Elizabeth enjoys incorporating techniques like deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and active release into her practice.
